Charleroi gets first win, routs Carlynton
CHARLEROI – Elijah Allah scored three touchdowns, one on an interception return, and Charleroi picked up its first win with a 47-12 thumping of Carlynton in a nonconference game Friday night at Myron Pottios Stadium.
Allah scored on runs of four and seven yards that put Charleroi (1-1) on top 15-6. He capped the scoring in the fourth quarter when he returned an interception 62 yards to the end zone. Christian Wiley also also returned an interception for a score. Williams’ returns covered three yards.
Max Voystek and Jesse McMaster had touchdowns runs of six and 27 yards, respectively, for Charleroi and Lucas Mazon booted a 35-yard field goal.
Carlynton’s scored a 76-yard kickoff return by Justin Williams and a 53-yard TD pass to Jaesean Nembhard from Maddox Horrell.
