Wall’s exit leaves Trinity AD job vacant
Michael Wall confirmed Sunday that he is no longer the athletic director at Trinity High School.
Wall, a Trinity graduate, was hired by the district about a year ago. He has previously served as McGuffey High School’s athletic director.
Via text message, Wall said he resigned the position and then respectfully declined further comments until a later date.
Attempts to reach Dr. Michael Lucas, Trinity superintendent, were not successful.
Kaci Alderson has served as Trinity’s assistant athletic director under both Wall and Ricci Rich.
Wall, 48, was an athletic director for about eight years and he was a football coach in Texas.
In August 2024, he was hired as McGuffey’s athletic director, succeeding Ed Dalton.
At Trinity, Wall succeeded Rich, who announced his resignation the summer of 2025.
He attended The University of Tulsa on a football scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in history before obtaining a master’s degree in teaching, history and education. While at Tulsa, Wall served as an on-field graduate assistant coach for the football program.
Wall later was director of athletics and head football coach at Willis High School in Willis, Texas, helping the team reach the Class 6A state playoffs and winning the bi-district championship in 2021.
