Ligonier Valley stays unbeaten, tops Charleroi
LIGONIER – Greg Sleasman scored four touchdowns, Levi Foust passed for a pair of scores and ran for another, and Ligonier Valley remained undefeated with a 56-20 victory over Charleroi in the Class 2A Allegheny Conference opener Friday night.
Sleasman scored twice in a 21-point first quarter by Ligonier Valley (1-0, 4-0). He opened the scoring by catching a 25-yard TD pass from Foust and put the Rams up 14-0 with a 75-yard scoring run. Sleasman also had an 11-yard TD run and caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Foust.
Foust added a 12-yard scoring run.
Jaxson Klinger threw a pair of long touchdown passes to Braedin Lunger for Charleroi (0-1, 2-2). They connected on a 68-yard scoring strike in the first quarter and again for a 65-yard TD in the second quarter.
Charleroi’s Carter Pantalo closed the scoring with a two-yard TD plunge.
