Trinity shut down in shutout loss to Moon

CORAOPOLIS – Moon shut down Trinity’s offensive attack in a 21-0 nonconference triumph to open the season Friday night at Moon.

The Tigers opened the scoring in the second quarter when Paul Brona caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Cross and Evan Senkevich made the first of three PATs for a 7-0 lead with 8:59 remaining before halftime.

Moon’s Nick Prezoli recovered a Trinity fumble in the end zone to increase his team’s advantage to 14-0 with 3:31 left before halftime.

The Tigers’ Jake Warnagiris pulled in a 13-yard touchdown reception from Cross in the third quarter.

Jonah Williamson gained 102 yards on 23 carries for the Hillers.
