MONESSEN – TyVaughn Kershaw ran for four touchdowns, caught a scoring pass and returned a punt 84 yards for touchdown as Monessen rolled to a 62-6 victory over West Greene in a nonconference game Friday night.

Kershaw had TD runs of 46, 75 and 60 yards in the first half and caught a 13-yard TD pass as Monessen (2-0) bolted to a 40-6 halftime lead. Kershaw’s last score was a 25-yard scamper.

Tim Kershaw also had a big game for the Greyhounds as he opened the scoring with a 46-yard run in the first quarter and added a TD jaunt of 42 yards and returned an interception 89 yards for the game’s final touchdown.

Tay Taylor had a five-yard scoring run for Monessen.

West Greene (0-2) scored in the second quarter when Parker Burns hauled in a 20-yard TD pass from Lane Allison.
