Beth-Center gets first win
MAPLETOWN – Santino Revi caught three passes – all for touchdowns – and Beth-Center picked up its first victory of the season with a 46-6 win over Mapletown in a Class A Tri-County South Conference football game Monday night.
The game was moved from last Friday night because of a lack of game officials.
After Mapletown (0-5, 1-7) closed within 20-6 in the second quarter on a five-yard TD run by Awshton Walker, Revi caught scoring passes of 34 yards from DeSean Whipkey, and 16 and 14 yards from Jonah Sussan, to push the Bulldogs’ lead to 44-6.
Whipkey had TD runs of 38 and nine yards, and Teagan Veatch started the scoring with a 54-yard scoring jaunt for Beth-Center (1-4, 1-6). Veatch rushed for 138 yards on 10 carries and Whipkey added 102 on 12 attempts.
Mapletown’s Carson Vanata ran for 74 yards on 12 carries.
