Avella blanks Springdale

AVELLA — Chas Rush threw and ran for a touchdown in Avella’s 44-0 win over Springdale on Friday in non-conference play at Avella.

Rush scored on a 20-yard keeper and threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Ronnie Kozak.

Darren Ruschel rushed for 57 yards on 4 carries and scored on a 23-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Broden Hamm, Logan Fedak and Noah Kimberland also scored for the Eagles (1-2). Avella rushed for 307 yards.
