Peters Township’s Shanafelt commits to Stanford
Peters Township linebacker Lucas Shanafelt announced on social media that he committed to Stanford to play football Sunday night.
Shanafelt, a junior, chose the Cardinal over Pitt, Purdue and Duke. He becomes the second Peters Township football player to commit to Stanford in the last two years.
Mickey Vaccarello, a senior, signed with Stanford as part of its 2025 recruiting class.
