California runs past West Greene

CALIFORNIA – Malachi Peak scored three rushing touchdowns as California (5-0, 7-1) cruised to a 50-0 win over West Greene (1-4, 1-7) in a Class A Tri-County South Game Friday night.

The Trojans are in sole possession of first place in the conference because Bentworth beat Jefferson-Morgan 35-13 Friday.

Peak scored on an 18-yard run in the first quarter, had a 1-yard run in the second and a 40-yarder in the third.

Landon Abercrombie added a pair of touchdown runs of 6 and 10 yards. Logan Hartley opened the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown and Brandon Meier had a 6-yard score in the fourth.

The Trojans defense pitched its fourth consecutive shutout. They’ve outscored opponents 195-0 in that span.
