Payne’s 3 2nd half TD’s help Monessen top Beth-Center

MONESSEN – Beth-Center (0-3) took a three-point lead into halftime, but three second half touchdown passes by Kaier Payne propelled Monessen (3-0) to a 20-3 win Friday night.

Payne hit Torrence Taylor for a 19-yard touchdown pass that gave the Greyhounds a 6-3 lead. He then found Tavian Taylor for a 70-yard touchdown and later connected with Jayvionne Jeffries on a 55-yarder.

Payne only completed four passes on nine attempts, but finished with 193 yards.
