Apollo-Ridge too much for Charleroi
APOLLO – Apollo-Ridge doubled up Charleroi in the first half and went on to a 57-18 win over a Class 2A Allegheny Conference gem Friday night.
Logan Schrock caught two touchdown passes from Chris Dailey in the first half, which ended with Apollo-Ridge (2-0, 4-1) leading 36-18.
Jaxson Klinger threw two touchdown passes for Charleroi (0-2, 2-3), a 20-yarder to Max Voystek and a 45-yarder to Braedin Lunger. Cam Perez had a one-yard scoring plunge for the Cougars.
Apollo-Ridge’s Preston Clemens scored two touchdowns, one on a 63-yard fumble return.
