New Steelers defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander coached for Las Vegas this past season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back Gerald Alexander to their coaching staff.

Alexander was named the team’s new defensive backs coach Tuesday.

He previously was an assistant defensive backs coach for the Steelers from 2022-23 before leaving to become the safeties coach for the Las Vegas Raiders last season.

Prior to his first stint with the Steelers, Alexander was the defensive backs coach for the Miami Dolphins for two seasons (2020-21).

The Steelers did not provide any word on the status of last season’s defensive backs coach Grady Brown, but his name was removed from the team’s website.
