CRESTWOOD, Ill. – Andrew Czech homered and drove in three runs and the Wild Things rallied for a 6-3 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts on Wednesday night at Ozinga Field.

The win improves Washington’s record to 64-27 record. The 64 wins are the franchise record for a season. The 2005 Wild Things won 63 games.

Washington has a 35-11 record in road games.

The Wild Things trailed 3-2 entering the eighth inning but scored four times to gain the lead.

Czech hit a two-run homer, his 16th of the year, in the top of the second inning to give Washington an early 2-0 advantage.

Windy City tied the score with a two-run fourth against Washington starter Kobe Foster. The second run of the inning scored on a balk.

Foster went six innings, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks. He struck out five, which gives him 126 for the season, which is a franchise record. Ben Ally had struck out 124 batters in 2003.

Windy City took the lead at 3-2 in the seventh against reliever Alex Carrillo (3-1). Michael Seegers’ two-out RBI single drove in Ronnie Allen.

Washington then scored four times in the top of the eighth against two Windy City relief pitchers. Cam McNeely, Tyreque Reed and Wagner Lagrange each hit RBI doubles and Czech added a single that drove in Lagrange with the game’s final run.

Gyeongju Kim retired all three batters he faced in the bottom of the ninth for his league-leading 26th save.
