Wild Things routed in opening game of road trip

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Evansville’s Dennis Pierce hit a home run to lead off the bottom of the first inning and that was a sign of things to come for the Wild Things.
Evansville scored in six different innings and unleashed a 15-hit attack to defeat Washington 12-3 Tuesday night at Bosse Field.
The game was the first in a 19-game stretch that will see Washington play 17 times on the road.
Pavin Parks drove in five runs and Keenan Taylor had three hits to back the winning pitching of Braden Scott (2-1), who allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out nine.
Washington Kobe Foster (0-1) was tagged for 11 hits and seven runs (six earned) in four innings.
Andrew Czech hit a home run, his 10th of the season, and Robert Chayka had an RBI single among his two hits for the Wild Things.
