AVON, Ohio – Brandon Scott and two relievers combined on a three-hit shutout as the Lake Erie Crushers blanked the Wild Things 9-0 in a series opener Friday night.

The loss ended the Wild Things’ winning streak at eight games.

Scott (1-4) struck out seven over seven innings. Brandien Noriega pitched the eighth inning and Dawson Hargrove completed the shutout with an inning of relief.

Washington starter Kobe Foster (5-1), who threw a no-hitter in his previous outing last weekend, gave up a leadoff single to James Jett to start the bottom of the first inning. Foster yielded 10 hits and six runs over six innings. Jett and Jacob Tobias each hit a solo home run. Tobias finished with three RBI.

Antonio Monroy, Connoe Peek and Anthony Brocato had Washington’s three hits.
