Wild Things rained out; Game 3 set for Sunday
Game 3 of the Wild Things’ best-of-3 Frontier League wild-card playoff series against Florence was postponed Saturday night because of rain.
The league rescheduled the game for Sunday at EQT Park. First pitch will be at 1:05 p.m.
The game was originally scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start Saturday. That was pushed back to 7:30 p.m. It was pushed back again to 8:15 p.m., but the league announced at about 7:20 that the game was rained out.
The Washington-Florence winner will play Evansville in the best-of-5 Midwest Conference finals beginning Tuesday. Evansville defeated Schaumburg 3-2 in Game 3 Saturday night.
In the Atlantic Conference, New York eliminated defending champion Quebec 16-8 and Ottawa completed a sweep of New Jersey, 6-0.
