Three deer wondered into our backyard on Oct. 22 and enjoyed what remained of our garden and most of the grapes on the grapevine that runs along the side of our yard. None of this is totally unusual, but we live within the city limits, not near any large patch of woods. We have no idea where they came from, but they enjoyed their feast for about 30 minutes. We believe it was the same three deer that return a couple of weeks later, but not much remained to munch on, so they moved on. Photo by Debby Shrump.
