Why you should never worry

John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it

be afraid.”

Worry, why do we do it when God has already told us several times in His Word….fret not? We tend to pick things up in our spirits that we feel that we cannot handle and sometimes we suffer for it, it’s all about faith. Either you believe that God is going to handle a thing (situation) for you or He is not. We cannot waver. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8. If we spend more time on and with earthly/worldly matters, our spirits ill lack faith. We have to make time to listen that still, small voice of God. I’ve heard Him so many times calling my name. I tell Him,

“Yes Lord, I am here.” Recently, I’ve seen God move in my life so much that I enjoy how He uses me. He does the most unexpected miracles that you just have to stop and shake your head and smile. So now when I hear His voice call me, I will say, “Yes Lord, I am here. What can I do for you?” I trust Him.

You have to get to the point that you trust God so that He can use you. I am not afraid that He will use me in a way that I won’t like. God is not in the

business of pulling jokes and tricks on His children. What kind of parent would He be if He was like that? Could you trust Him? He doesn’t send everybody to jungles full of mosquitos and snakes. He only sends those that He knows can handle those situations. He knows much we can bear. If He can move Jesus and His parents at a time that the King wanted to kill Jesus, God can move you at the proper times as well. All Christians don’t get blown up or hanged. I believe that is why the word shows us different ways that the followers of Jesus died. They all didn’t get boiled alive in a pot of bubbling oil, or burned at the stake. There are preachers around the world who have been preaching the Word for years and yet, their families have 70th, 80th, 90th birthday parties for them. Some live and celebrate, some die and celebrate still. To be absent in the flesh is to be present with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:88 We are con?dent, I say, and willing rather to be absent from

the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Have faith and allow God to enlarge your territory. Watch Him do a work in your life that you never thought would happen to you. He raises us up, not man. He uses the small and the humble. Do not fear what you can be in the Lord if you put your entire being into serving the Kingdom.

Fear is a distinct result of worry. Worry causes high blood pressure, hair loss, and causes other diseases that God did not intend for you to have. When we don’t heed His Word we suffer. It’s that simple. There is no other

way around it. Worry means that you want to control the outcome of a situation. That is outright rebellion against God’s Word and it never works positively.

Proverbs 3:5-8

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Worry, control and manipulation is a form of witchcraft. That is why God does not react to worry.

1 Samuel 15:23

23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is

as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

2 Kings 9:22

22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it

peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

And he caused his children to pass through the ?re in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used

enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. (2 Chronicles 33:6)

Galatians 5:19-20

19 Now the works of the ?esh are manifest, which are these;

Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies..

God tells us 365 times in the bible to not fear nor be afraid. In John 6:20 He tells us, John 6:20

20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

The disciples are afraid as they sail the roaring sea with the wind whipping around them, not knowing whether they would make this trip or not and where was Jesus? Had He abandoned them? Then they saw a ghost walking on the water which, if you look back into Hebrew History it means that they were receiving an omen of death. They say that dead fishermen walked the waters of the sea there. Just then, in complete relief, they see that it wasn’t a dead man at all! It was Jesus! He is always right on time. I love Him for that. He is still doing that today for you and I, showing up right on time. His Spirit is within us and watches as we waddle around like little babies and just before we fall, He lifts us up and puts us on our feet again.
