Canon-Mac begins search for head varsity football coach

1 min read

Canon-McMillan is officially looking for a new varsity football coach.

Five weeks after Ron Coder abruptly resigned, athletic director Frank Vulcano has opened the position for applicants.

Interim head coach Terry George, who was in his first year as the program’s offensive coordinator, will not be retained. George went 0-5 to finish the season. George had previous head-coaching experience at Carlynton, Ambridge, West Allegheny and Cornell.

Canon-McMillan has only won two games in the last three years.

The new coach will carry the title of assistant athletic director and the deadline for candidates to apply is November 14. Prospective candidates are asked to email a letter of interest and resume, with three references to mccullought@cmsd.k12.pa.us

Salary is to be determined and commensurate with experience.
