Sense of team emerges with Biggest Winner contestants

I expected to feel sore the first week of the Biggest Winner, what I didn’t expect to feel was the bond of a team forming this early on.

Today we were paired up. One teammate would run while the other worked the rowing machine, switch after reaching a certain distance, and then repeat. As we began, I was tired and sore. My first few laps were slow and painful. Another lap and I asked myself, “can I do this?” Around again, but this time I heard a voice say, “good job.” Ah! A little burst of energy. Then I heard voices calling out to each other with more encouraging words. With each shout we all pushed each other to finish. We were hurting, but we had done it. And, we had done it as a team.

A team of 6. The O-R 6. We are all so different, but that’s what will help us work together.

Carole is hilarious. She makes me laugh so much, it’s like doing an extra ab workout. Seriously, you couldn’t ask for a better person to stand beside while learning a new exercise and trying not to get tangled in the TRX equipment.

Liz is sharp as a tack. She’s smart and determined and I can see her leading this team to good things.

Larry is a great motivator and he asks Kendra the best questions. I’m sticking close to him to learn a lot.

Paul is an inspiration. He said he hopes to be an example to other seniors, but he is certainly a great example to all of us.

Kelly is sweet as pie. This hardworking mama of 9 works all night long and shows up at 6AM with a smile on her face and lots of positivity.

There’s nothing better than having an encouraging team to help you reach your goals. In fact, I don’t think I could do this without them. I’m so happy to be on this journey with the O-R 6. Thanks for the teamwork.
