In boys basketball

Kennedy Catholic outscored Lourdes Regional 30-0 in the first quarter to eventually defeat the Red Raiders 78-36 in the PIAA Class A Championship.

Oscar Tshiebwe had 24 points, 19 rebounds, three blocks and six steals to lead Kennedy Catholic.

• Imhotep Charter continued a winning streak against Pennsylvania schools that dates back to December 2016 as it defeated Sharon 71-35 in the Class 4A state championship game.

Dahmir Bishop, a 6-4 junior with scholarship offers from Penn State and Rutgers, led Imhotep with 20 points.

• Keshaun Hammonds scored 23 points to lead Constitution past Our Lady of Sacred Heart, 81-71, in the PIAA Class AA Championship game.

Cutting what was a 16-point deficit down to four, 67-63, OLSH couldn’t complete the comeback.

Junior Austin Wigley led OLSH with 25 points.

In girls basketball

Neumann-Goretti proved to be too talented again as it defeated Bishop Canevin in the PIAA Class AAA Championship for the second time in two years, 63-46.

It is the fourth consecutive state title for Neumann-Goretti.

Canevin’s Shamyjha Price scored a game-high 31 points.

• Alli Campbell scored 34 points as Bellwood-Antis edged West Catholic 45-42 in the PIAA Class AA girls title game.

Campbell scored all 14 of the points for the Blue Devils in the third quarter. She also scored the first 22 points of the second half for Bellwood-Antis.

It was the program’s first state championship.

• Jennifer Kremp made a game-tying three-pointer with 20 seconds left in regulation and Jenkintown went on to defeat Juniata Valley 51-46 in the Class A title game.

Kremp finished with a game-high 24 points for Jenkintown.
