Five primary sites were listed in the proposal, four of them inside or near the Pittsburgh city limits: Hazelwood Green, Lower Hill, The Strip, Site at PIT (Pittsburgh International Airport) and Carrie Furnace (Swissvale).

A number of other potential sites were listed, including one in Washington County. It’s the Cool Valley development, a 250-acre expanse in Cecil Township owned by the Washington County Authority and T&R Properties. Esplanade, a planned 15-acre mixed-use development, is on the list as well. Washington-based Millcraft Investments is the owner/developer.

Two South Fayette Township properties also are on this list: the 700-acre Kosky Industrial Park and an unspecified 150-acre tract. Cuddy Partners LP is listed as the owner of both.
