Pauline E. Cody, 97, recently of Steeplechase Retirement Residences, Oxford, Fla., passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, in University of Florida Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Fla.

Pauline was born May 24, 1921, in Fayette County, to the late John and Anna Riko Tyukodi.

Growing up in Richeyville, Pauline was a graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School. Upon graduation, Pauline moved to Detroit, Mich., where she worked for Revere Copper and Brass, until her retirement. She and her sister Dorothy moved to The Villages in Florida, where she was an avid golfer and loved The Villages lifestyle.

Left to cherish her memory are a niece, Cynthia Moore of Clarksville; great-niece Brianna (Scott) Lewis of Pittsburgh; and great-nephew Ivan “Cody”(Heather) of Memphis, Tenn.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna; two sisters, Irene and Dorothy; a brother, Steve; and nephew Steven.

Pauline had many friends who will miss her as a golf buddy, a lady who enjoyed living and a woman with a big heart.
