The area’s largest craft beer, wine and spirits festival, Corks & Kegs, is back and bigger than ever for its fifth year. Over the span of two days, Aug. 24-25, The Meadows Racetrack & Casino apron will be packed with folks eager to try the newest and greatest craft beer varieties. The event, hosted by Observer-Reporter, is free and family-friendly.
“We are going to expand the wine and spirits offerings this year, as well as feature new food options,” says Observer-Reporter advertising director Carole DeAngelo.
Also new this year will be a special VIP celebration.
Live entertainment on Saturday will kick off at 12:30 p.m. with 8th Street Rox, followed by the Bastard Bearded Irishmen at 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Billy Price Band gets the party started at 11:30 a.m., and to cap off the festival, Pittsburgh’s own Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers will perform from 4-7 p.m. Car enthusiasts will want to make a point to see the vintage car cruise on Sunday.
“We’re proud to partner with Washington County Tourism and thrilled to bring in guests from New York, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland to Corks & Kegs,” DeAngelo says.
In addition to the beer, wine and spirits offerings, there will be artisans, vendors and food trucks.
