CUMBERLAND
Assault charge: Wesley Eric Shaffer Jr., 20, of 312 Parkview Knoll, Cumberland Township, was charged by Cumberland Township police with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the hair, held her down from behind and punched her five times, early Friday morning at his residence. The woman told police that she felt like she was choking and that her hair was being ripped out. The woman has a protection from abuse order against Shaffer, who denied the incident.
MORGAN TOWNSHIP
Crash: Shree Lynn Hill, 54, of 405 Meadowbrook Road, Waynesburg, was charged by state police with leaving the scene of an accident and four traffic summary violations, following a Nov. 26 crash at the intersection of Lippencott Road and Meadowbrook Road. Police said Hill was driving in the middle of the road when she struck an oncoming vehicle. She did not stop following the crash.
Drug charges: Kaitlyn Michelle Reagan, 21, of 229 Woodrings Road, Jefferson, was charged by state police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and two traffic summary offenses following a traffic stop on Jefferson Road Nov. 23. Police said they smelled marijuana in the vehicle and found Reagan to be in possession of 26 grams of marijuana, a smoking device and a metal grinder.
