YOUTH FISHING DAY
The Waynesburg Sportsmen’s Association will host its Spring Youth Fishing Day on April 6, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Area youngsters and their adult parents or guardians (visiting youths must be accompanied at all times) are invited to fish for free at WSA’s private pond at 190 Rolling Meadows Road in Waynesburg. Kids who want to participate must be 15 years old or younger. Picnic-style food will be provided by WSA. Local Boy Scout and Cub Scout units will be present to register anybody interested in scouting. The General Greene District of the Laurel Highlands Council of Boys Scouts will operate BB gun and archery safety demonstrations and ranges.
Participants must bring their own fishing poles, reels, line, bait and hooks.
KICKBALL
Registration for a kickball program for youths ages 2-10 will be held May 1 and May 8, 7 p.m., at the Lock No. 4 Fire Hall Annex. The cost is $20 per child due at the time of registration.
The program will run for five weeks and will be held on Wednesdays, June 5 through June 26, and July 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
