Participating w. pa DOH on may 8 – receive guidance on parks progtams, summer progatms webinar – I have already submitted our questions
Pa recreation and parks society – professional development organization – includes co parks, muni parks, ymcas – non profit or govt.
washCo is a member of that
Put together overall proposal to commish – what we can achieve over the rest of the summer
Re-think things again for the fall as things get cooler – maybe some of th e prorams get pulled indoors.
Depends on the program – camp is canceled for that day.
If a thundershower pops up- we would run them but take them up to park office and put them indoors.
Maybe in the past we’ve taken our chances
Park office is pretty small –
Summer camps are all at mingo
Preschool programs – classrooms – at cross creek and mingo – don’t have participation at ten mile – people don’t show up or sign up.
Participation not limited to washco residents. – this is a new ballgame – haven’t had to give any consideration I the past

Would we change them up completely – have split sessins – mornings only and a different group for afternoon
There’s a lot we have to weigh right now
I’m extremely hopeful that later this summer, there will be some programs we’re going to be able to do
We’re basing a lot of asdumptions on guidance for childcare providers –
Difficult to conduct if yuou’re still req to have masks on the children
Not going to be able to poull off – will have to achieve social distancing.
Hoping to provide some parks programs in june
But knowning we’re going to still have to social distance
Tyeelow – 25 perople or less – has an imipact on shelter rentals.
Until I get guidance, can’t saw what I;m going to do.
There’s a good bit we think we can still pull off this sommer to make it feasible.
Will be adding videos throughout May – we are furloughed at this point – kept them on board to get the videos recorded – are releasing one at a time – sarah – crafts can be done indoors

We’re trying to have a little bit of everything for all age levels and families.
Cooking over an open fire – took programs they would be doing this time of year and made a video series.
The whiole goal was to kind of come up with things – not req them to go anywhere or buy anything.
Just use what you have – the concept behind them
Sometimes we charge a nominal fee if we provide the materials.
Readily available we go buy them – most of our programs are free

Cbg lake 0 we are revising the sched. right now
We had a big conf call – us penndot designers, going over the schedule
The way the sched was orig structured = they were going to be placing concrte in the winter months.
How do we get thru that process
Plus we also have restrictions with the lake when we can and cannot be in there.
Sai is revising sched. right now – probably going to delay when that bridge gets closed – start later in winter time. replacing concrete in april – will impac the school year a little more than we wanted to
In the long run, it’s going to make the schedule go fster
I don’t have the final schedule yet – sai was going back – it will go to bid a little later this year

Different phases of a project are programed into diferent program year

We’re ready to go to construction – make sure the money is in place
Use of the lake – in some phases of construction access is going to be essentially cut off
We’re trying to keep it as accessible as pss throughout the project
A small channel will nbe open at all times – for an angler or boater with the fish and boat commission
We’ll be working with mujis – n Strabane and peters on that = we’ll do it as best we can- munis will provide an outreach.

Just got an email from census today – response rate ofm 57 percent – outpaces state and nation
Also a plug to hire at $22 an hour
