trinity drone
We had a brief event at Trinity High School last week to introduce their “Drone Technology” class to military grade Unmanned Aircraft. Mr. Todd Crissman, Drone Technology Faculty, was kind enough to invite us to set up a little display on the track apron at the High School.
This is a growing program intended to enhance STEM learning and prepare the students for careers in higher technology and sciences. Attached are a couple photos of the event he shared.
The first photo shows a fixed wing long duration surveillance aircraft. The second photo shows a novel rotary wing aircraft we invented in the mid-2000’s. It may look a little familiar because recently NASA flew a derivative design of this aircraft on Mars and made the news. If you choose to publish the helicopter photo, all I ask is that you crop me out of the image. I may have to send the photos in two emails due to the size of the original file.
My participation at this time is that of a volunteer hoping to inspire students in the same way I was inspired by fellow Alumnus and NASA Test Pilot, Joe Walker.
I encourage you to reach out to Mr. Crissman as it might make a novel story for your publication. I will be happy to cooperate as well should you require additional context on the aircraft.
