Canonsburg —

The match that brought the most eyes to the mat was at 126 pounds, where Trinity’s Blake Reihner stoppped Zander Phaturos of Waynesburg witha reversal in the final overtime, 3-1.

“Definitely, it didn’t come easy. I had to keep on moving,” said Reihner, who leads the series with Phaturos, 2-1. “I’ll see him again  in (the postseason). That’s for sure. I knew he was going going to come hard off the top of my head, snap me and try to move me.”

“It’s great. I have to keep moving. keep going.”

Reihner went to Junior Nationals the past two years, finishing sixth and third, respectively.

The tournament used a round robin format to determine the top two place finishers in each weight class.

The number of rounds was determined by the number of wrestlers weighed into that weight class.

For example, if only two wrestlers weigh in at a weight class, then only one round is needed to determine the qualifiers. if all six wrestlers enter the weight, then more rounds are needed.
