You’ll enter in the loading dock to check in and get your credential. There is a different color credential each day so you will need to enter and check in each day you’re at The Pete.
To get to where we’re broadcasting from, you’ll take an elevator to the concourse level, labeled CO in the elevator. You’ll go to section L 220 to get to the broadcast table.
The 3 live reads attached to the email schedule yesterday are all printed out and there for you.

They are going to have stats going out and emailed. I’m working on an expedited process of them getting them emailed up to us since we won’t be near the court or the rest of the working media.
Good evening! It’s time for WPIAL basketball championship broadcasts! All games are at the Petersen Events Center in Oakland. Traffic and parking is always congested. Please take this into account in your arrival times. There is no specific parking set aside for media. You can put down your parking cost on your invoice to be compensated for it in addition to your broadcast or production work.
You’ll enter the arena at the loading dock located off Sutherland Drive. You’ll go through security inspection and then check in at the media table to get your credentials. I believe our HQ where our broadcasts will be ran from is in the same location as previous years. I’ll confirm that section via this email thread Wednesday evening after we setup in the building.
All broadcasts are presented by First National Bank. All references on the broadcast please end with the tag “presented by First National Bank.” There will be 2 live reads per quarter for First National Bank. Script is attached.
Law firm of Kapusta & Schweers is the free throw sponsor. About every other trip to the line, we’ll want one of the live read scripts read. This frequency may increase or decrease pending where in the game we’re at and how much or little free throw attempts have happened. You’ll be prompted to do so by the graphic on screen. Scripts are attached.

We’ll start each broadcast 15 minutes prior to scheduled tip. For each pre-game we’ll have a full screen to put up with that classifications bracket showing how the two teams got to the finals. It will be called “The path to the Pete presented by First National Bank.”
In pre-game, we’ll take the PA feed for the national anthem and the starting lineups. You will not need to read off the starters.
There will be no interviews in the broadcasts with either coach. Any interviews we can get with coaches’ post-game will be used for social media.
Post-game we will toss to the PA feed by the time the winning team is getting their medals. We’ll end on the trophy celebration.
