“We’ve implemented a freeze on purchasing all things. We need to approve everything that happens.

“It’s not pretty.

Someone on a caviar and  champagne expenditure, but you can’t afford a can e of pepsi.  It’s that dire.

We owe I think it’s a little over $800,000 in all of our bills totla

We don’t have it and we’re not going to have it.

March 1 sending out the taxes. That means things can keep running, but you still have the debt.  You still have incurred expenses of running a city every month. Some things don’t go away.

There’s legal bills that I’m not going to be able to tax for a long time unless we get an influx of money that’s ridiculous.

The ex-mayor went on his thin about wiretapping and RDA to sue. That cost over $5,00 in legal fees we’re looking at.  deductible for lawsuits against city, defended them.

bills for graffitti artists

We were led to be,lieve that that was either going to be a Douglas School students ol that was a grant the ex-mayor was getting./ I got bills for uopto $5m,000 they want paid.

Beautful signage All the city hall signs.

That was $3 or 4,000. Council never approved these expenditures.

Controller reported $8,000 left in general fund left over in 2021. You don’t run a city on $8,000 it is going to be a challenge  I told the employees as have other members of council. There’s no guarantee that every two weeks we’re going to make a payroll. Just being honest with you. I don’t know how this is going to go, where this is going to go.

I plan on being as frugal and difficult spending money as I am right now. It’s going to take that to try to get us through.

The oublic deserves to know. I work dfor the citizens of Monessen They should know where every penny of their money is being spet at all times. That’s what this administration is going to do. It’s not going to be pretty. We’re going to show people I’m the bearer of bad news all the time, but it’s a harsh reality that everyobody maybe will get used to and think maybe it canget better.
