Local heads south to assist with Hurricane Ian relief efforts

Photos of Florida post-hurricane look less like natural disaster images and more like pictures snapped in a war-torn country. The Red Cross earlier this week deployed # volunteers from all 50 states to assist in disaster relief efforts.

Williamson is one of those Red Cross volunteers working tirelessly to provide folks devestated by the hurricane with food and shelter.

More than 80 Red Cross emergency response vehicles deliver cooked meals daily to people in the hardest hit areas – on Tuesday, about 142,000 meals were dished out – and emergency shelters offer safe places for people to rest and pick up food and supplies.

The Red Cross is also providing health and mental health services to families struggling with their losses.

WIlliamson is part of the WHAT IS HE DOING.
