Senior citizens/Avella students
We did a color it forward project, opened it up to high school and elementary to see who could donate and collect more art supplies.
It all was going to be donated to senior center, got more than 350 adult and kids coloring books, the kids coloring books and art supplies will be purchased for Santa’s Workshop, we got more than 200 boxes of markers, colored markers and crayons, hundreds of puzzle sets, craft sets, activity books, glue, paints, canvases, we had a ton, we didn’t even get it all out, it was phenomenal the results we got, we are taking them tomorrow to drop off supplies and on Nov. 28 will go back to do arts and crafts projects.
The group I’m taking is National Art Honor Society, eight students. Presbyterian Senior Care. We are going to be there at 9:15 a.m.
We did this in 2019 and had pretty good success, we donated to Morgantown Reyneld’s memorial children’s hospital.
this year we decided we wanted to do the older germination, my mom was in a senior citizen center, and they really got into arts, and coloring book, w we need to support them too
Three weeks, high school and eleemnteray…. Everything donated was new, we got a ton of response,
It’s going to be so much fun on that day, we don’t know how it’s going to turn out, we’re going to do wooden circle signs people can paint and put bows on, winter.
It’s going to be a paint and sip, with treats.
It’s going to be Southmont locations, presbyterian senior care southmost location, it will go to the general population and the dementia unit, Santa’s workshop. My mom said all the time, the don’t have anyone to bring them stuff, or no way to get out and shop, we are bringing blank Christmas cards.
