Recently, a letter writer in this newspaper criticized Sen. Dave McCormick and many of Donald Trump’s choices in the federal government, such as Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Pete Hegseth, etc., as being unqualified for these positions.

Yet, compared to them, the writer failed to mention the most unqualified person ever chosen, and that would be Alejandro Mayorkas for homeland security.

Now whether Joe Biden was of sound mind or if it was one of his lackeys who made this unforgivable choice, the end result was the same – allowing unvetted illegal aliens to enter the country. And among them are some of the most depraved vermin who are guilty of attacks on law enforcement, child abuse, rapes, murders and other acts of extreme violence. It would be the same if you let people into your home and then they would unleash hell on your family.

Mayorkas should shoulder all the responsibility for the crimes committed during his time in office. We know he won’t be charged, and that is a threat to our democracy and the rule of law. And not surprising, neither Mayorkas or any Democrat has offered an apology for what has transpired during his watch.

The late Congressman John Lewis, noted for saying do “good trouble,” would be ashamed that his party has allowed bad trouble to permeate our cities and states.

If these criminals are not deported, Mayorkas should be forced to be in the courtroom as each is sentenced. He should hear the pain and cries of those whose lives will never be the same from the loss of their loved ones because of these brutal and barbaric actors.

Anyone who has a daughter, wife, mother or sister should get down on their hands and knees and thank God that Trump won’t let any more of these deplorables into our country without being properly checked and rechecked, and for getting rid of those criminals who are here now.
