Man arrested after allegedly holding neighbors at gunpoint
An Aleppo man was arrested Friday after allegedly firing shots in the vicinity of neighbors before holding them at gunpoint.
Richard Jenkins Jr., 49, told police he had fired shots near Chloe Jones and Dusty Jones after hearing about an argument they were having with Michael Galloway, according to the criminal complaint.
Following that, Chloe Jones told police, Jenkins held her and Dusty Jones at gunpoint and told them to re-enter the house.
Jenkins refused to tell police the whereabouts of his gun, described as a silver 9-mm Luger, court paperwork stated. Police said two 9-mm Luger shell casings were recovered near the house.
Jenkins faces two felony counts of terroristic threats, along with two misdemeanor charges of simple assault.
Jenkins is lodged in the Greene County Jail after being unable to post bond, which was set at $50,000.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 16.
