A Franklin Township man accused of selling methamphetamine during a Greene County sting operation last November.

Edward Schrader, 54, had charges filed against him Thursday by the Greene County Drug Task Force, the Greene County District Attorney’s office said in a release.

About 10 p.m. on Nov. 11, a confidential informant supplied with $100 of government funds met with Schrader at his trailer to buy methamphetamine, court paperwork stated.

The two talked briefly, after which Schrader went into a wooded area before returning, according to the complaint.

“I clearly witnessed Schrader hand a plastic ziplock baggie to the (confidential informant), and saw the CI pay Schrader with the official government funds,” state police Det. Timothy Gilbert wrote in an affidavit.

The substance procured by Schrader was analyzed at a state lab and found to contain 1.07 grams of methamphetamine, the complaint said.

Schrader is charged with two felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent, and a misdemeanor offense of intentional possession of a controlled substance.

His bond was set at $25,000, and he was lodged in the Greene County jail after being unable to post bail.

His preliminary hearing is set for July 17.
