Washington High School graduating 82
Washington High School commencement is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Wash High Stadium, with 82 seniors set to graduate. In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the gymnasium.
Summer Sandoval is the valedictorian, and Gloria Rush is the salutatorian. Sandoval has been accepted into the University of Pittsburgh Honors Program for music. Rush also will attend the University of Pittsburgh and plans to major in biology.
Sandoval is the daughter of Debbie and Julio Sandoval. She was a member of the marching, symphonic, jazz, and steel drum bands. She was a member of the Academic League and Student Council. She played on the tennis team.
Rush is the daughter of Jennifer and B.J. Rush. She was a member of the marching, symphonic, jazz, and steel drum bands, and was also a member of the National Honor Society and Prexie Performers. She played on the basketball and tennis teams.
