Meat shoots
Anawanna Club, 186 Plum Sock Road, Amity, is hosting its final meat shoot of the year on Sunday, March 1 at noon.
Racoon Valley Sportsman’s Club, 263 Atlasburg Road, Avella, will be hosting a meat shoot on March 7 at noon. Registration begins at 11 a.m., and the shoot is open to the public.
Trap and sporting clays
Several local sportsman’s clubs are open to the public for trap and sporting clay shooting:

Pheasant hunt
The Marianna Outdoorsmen Association will sponsor a Continental Pheasant Hunt on Saturday, March 7. The event will be held at Wild Acres Farm, 1997 Morey Road in Clarksville.
Cost is $250 per shooter for Continental only (10 pheasant/shooter) and $375 for Continental and field hunt (2 Chukar and 3 Pheasants/shooter. Registration will be from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. First shot will be at 9 a.m. Registration can be done online by visiting www.mariannaoutdoors.com and clicking the Donate tab.
