Avery and Meadow Lands United Methodist Churches are taking orders for a soup sale. Soups offered are beef vegetable, chicken noodle, chili, ham and bean, stuffed pepper and wedding. Good Samaritan Hospice will host Good Mourning Devotional, a free weekly virtual grief support group, on Thursdays at 7 a.m. through Jan. 14, 2027. Each session will include a brief devotional, opportunities for sharing, and support. Participants are welcome throughout the year, and registration is required to obtain the Zoom link. Celebration Villa of Lakemont Farms in Bridgeville is holding a Caregiver Support Group, meeting at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Sessions will include practical strategies for caring for loved ones with memory loss; sharing/listening to others’ experiences; access to resources; a focus on self-care.
