South Carolina man accused of contractor fraud in Greene

A South Carolina man is accused of defrauding a Greene County couple of $2,400 while posing as an asphalt contractor. Johnny Carroll, 43, of North Augusta, S.C., faces charges of financial exploitation of an older adult and theft by deception. Both were filed with Judge Thomas Ankrom Tuesday afternoon. Carroll allegedly approached Anetta and Thomas Neff in the driveway of their home in Morgan Township on Aug. 10. Carroll claimed to be affiliated with D.B.
