North Strabane Township supervisors are signaling their intent to implement an ordinance regulating data centers. A comprehensive ordinance will be discussed and opened up for public input on Nov. 24 at 6 p.m., an hour before the board's regularly scheduled monthly meeting. According to township Manager Patrick Karnash, the regulatory effort is “proactive,” adding that the township has not received any formal project applications or interest from data center developers. A man is accused of shooting a dog near a playground in Washington before stuffing it in a garbage bag and leaving it for dead. The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) is launching a new initiative that will bring high school students to its campuses. The initiative is the first outreach effort coordinated among all 10 of the universities in the PASSHE system. Buses will bring students to campuses, including students who might otherwise have difficulty making the trip.
