Pharmacies are disappearing across Pennsylvania as operators blame a broken payment system

Donald Yealy, UPMC’s chief medical officer and senior vice president of the Health Services Division, cuts the ribbon at the UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care center in Waynesburg Wednesday morning, accompanied by a group of medical leaders and officials from Greene County and Pennsylvania. The Waynesburg location is one of 81 centers the providers are unveiling in a joint venture throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care centers provide expanded care for non-life-threatening conditions for patients 6 months and older. The centers offer walk-in access, expanded hours and weekend coverage.
