Alleged burglar shot by woman in Brownsville

A Fayette County man is accused of breaking into a home in Brownsville and assaulting a resident who shot him several times when he refused to leave. Ronald Rosiek, 69, was transported by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for emergency surgery after he was found by police. His condition was unknown Wednesday. The complaint indicated the alleged victim, a woman who was not identified, was able to identify Rosiek as the person who was in her home, but did not explain how she knew him. Missing Fayette girl found safe in S.C.; boyfriend charged in disappearance

A Fayette County girl reported missing last week has been found in South Carolina. Emily Salonick, 17, was allegedly removed from the state by her boyfriend, Michael Hart, 20, who has been charged with interference of custody of children, Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele said in a release. Salonick was reported missing when she disappeared on March 18 after being dropped off for her shift at McDonald’s in South Union Township, police said.
