The Washington County Coroner's Office is seeking information on Robert Martuicc, who was born Dec. 4, 1954, and died Aug. 13 at Premier Health Center of Washington. He previously lived in Charleroi. Information should be directed to the coroner's office at 724-228-6785.

South Strabane again delays fossil fuel ordinance vote

The South Strabane Board of Supervisors tabled the second scheduled vote in as many months on the long-awaited fossil fuel power generation ordinance following the detection of a number of inconsistencies in the draft text. This ordinance is the final remaining piece of a set of three related ordinances advanced by local officials since late 2025 to regulate data center development in the township.
