An Ohio woman died Sunday night in a wrong-way crash on Route 22 in Hanover Township. State police said Dawn R. D’Andrea was driving west in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the Burgettstown exit shortly after 10:30 p.m. when she crashed head-on into another car. D’Andrea, 53, of Wintersville, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash, according to the Washington County coroner’s office. Cortae Elder, 21, of Wintersville, who was a front-seat passenger in D’Andrea’s car, suffered serious injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment, police said. More than $400,000 in cash, along with narcotics and 20 guns, was recovered in a law enforcement sweep in Fayette County Thursday morning. Search warrants were executed at three locations in German Township and Masontown as part of an extensive narcotics trafficking investigation, Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele said in a Facebook post. North Strabane Township supervisors are signaling their intent to implement an ordinance regulating data centers. A comprehensive ordinance will be discussed and opened up for public input on Nov. 24 at 6 p.m., an hour before the board's regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
