The Peters Township High School senior class president accused of “catfishing” and extorting nearly two dozen teenagers by convincing them to send him explicit photos agreed to waive his case to trial as prosecutors dropped hundreds of charges in order to consolidate them. Former Cecil official found to have committed ethics violations

The Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission has found that a former member of the Cecil Township Municipal Authority violated ethics laws when she billed the authority for accounting services that had not been approved. According to the state ethics panel, Patricia Mowry performed accounting services for the authority for a six-month period in 2021 despite no formal approval having been given by the authority’s board. Mowry then billed the authority for $5,362 for the unapproved work she did. The commission’s finding, which was issued this week, stated, “But for being a member of the board, Mowry would not have been in a position to perform and bill for the unapproved work.” ...
