Washington County students invited to enter Law Day contests

Washington County students are being invited to submit entries for this year’s Law Day contests. The contests are sponsored by the Washington County Bar Association, the Washington County Bar Foundation, and the Observer-Reporter. The competitions are open to students from second through 12th grade. The entry deadline is May 15 at 4 p.m. This year’s billboard contest has been expanded to additional grades. Students in grades six through 12 are being invited to submit entries, with a top prize of $200 and the opportunity to have the submission displayed on an area highway billboard. IU1 to host Student Showcase at PennWest California

Intermediate Unit 1 (IU1) will hold its annual Student Showcase from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the PennWest California Convocation Center. The showcase celebrates the creativity, technical skill and academic excellence of students from 25 school districts in Fayette, Greene and Washington counties.
