Fayette County man killed in Sunday morning crash

A Fayette County man was killed in a single-vehicle accident when his pickup truck crashed Sunday morning in North Union Township. Joseph Franks, 52, of Lemont Furnace, was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash on Mt. Braddock Road, according to a release from Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker. There were no other injuries in the crash, which occurred shortly after 3 a.m. near the road’s intersection with Route 119, Fayette County 911 dispatch said.
