An Ohio woman died Sunday night in a wrong-way crash on Route 22 in Hanover Township. State police said Dawn R. D’Andrea was driving west in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the Burgettstown exit shortly after 10:30 p.m. when she crashed head-on into another car. D’Andrea, 53, of Wintersville, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash, according to the Washington County coroner’s office. Cortae Elder, 21, of Wintersville, who was a front-seat passenger in D’Andrea’s car, suffered serious injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment, police said.
