The Cecil Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an illustrative site plan for the Cool Valley project during a Monday meeting, clearing a critical hurdle for the long-delayed mixed-use development. The developer, T&R Properties Inc., went before the board in July requesting approval of an updated illustrative site plan that specified the different categories of land use across the approximately 215-acre site located between Interstate 79 and Morganza Road. Hanover Township will hold a public hearing this evening regarding a conditional use permit for a large data center project within Starpointe Business Park on Wednesday, setting the stage to advance the development. The meeting will be held at the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department Hall at 9 Starck Drive at 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to a public notice for the meeting. Local seniors will soon benefit from a comprehensively upgraded Generations Room in Cecil Township thanks to a recently announced state grant award. According to Cecil Township Supervisor Cindy Fisher, who announced the award during a Monday evening meeting, $71,500 of new funding will allow the Cecil/McDonald Senior Center housed within the Generations Room at the Cecil Township Municipal Building to undergo a suite of renovations this fall.
